The Hollywood Cross is an iconic landmark in Los Angeles standing 32-feet high overlooking the Hollywood Bowl and freeway. The glowing cross in the pre-dawn hours makes for a unique foreground element against the skyline. On this rare occasion, low fog sat out towards Los Angeles splitting the skyscrapers in half. A helicopter hovered over the city long enough to freeze it for this single 8 second exposure. The layers of lights from bottom to top add a sense of depth to this image.
