A 4th of July technique used to layer a stack of photographs and blend them into a single rendered image. This 2021 version from the Griffith Observatory captures the local resident fireworks from the Hollywood Hills area. The Observatory grounds are a popular place to watch the celebration so I hiked behind to capture and compress it against the Los Angeles skyline. One of the best overlooks in the city and the packed Observatory decks show why.
