Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci (1452 – 1519) was a High Renaissance Italian polymath who worked as a painter, engineer, scientist, theorist, sculptor, and architect. While he rose to prominence as a painter, he was also recognized for his notebooks, which contained sketches and notes on a wide range of disciplines, including anatomy, astronomy, botany, cartography, painting, and paleontology. He was also one of the greatest minds of the Italian Renaissance, and his influence on subsequent generations' painting was significant. His paintings 'The last supper' and 'Mona Lisa' are regarded as the most influential and popular paintings of the world.
