Sir Isaac Newton (1643 - 1727) was an English mathematician, physicist, astronomer, theologian, and author who is considered as the greatest figure of the Scientific Revolution of the seventeenth century. Newton contributed as the philosopher of Enlightenment and made great discoveries in the fields of Optics and mathematics. However, he is famous to world for being the formulator of three laws of motion that led to the basic principles of modern physics, and also where he outlines how gravity works for the first time. This was all depicted in his book Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy, published in 1687.
