Jas Charanjiva - Emotions of a Fighter

Shock, sadness, anger is what I felt before confronting a man who was assaulting his young wife on a busy Mumbai street as bystanders just watched. The incident left me wondering if I made things worse for his wife. On my way home I wondered how many generations will it take before Patriarchy no longer exists. I immediately created this character - a feisty Indian school girl - in hopes that children can learn to recognise and reject Patriarchy before reaching adulthood.
