Pyrid [#387]

Pyrids are another one of Ohks inhabitants that enjoy the ancient art of trying to be a tree. You should try it sometime! Many of these creatures usually absorb their nutrients from the forest floor but the pyrid have an alternative method of feeding themselves. Their mouths produce a sap like liquid which is very sticky and sweet and this is particularly attractive to the many bugs that inhabit the forest floor. Once they land on this sticky excretion they are stuck and remain there until the pyrid decides it's time for their next meal. Out pops their tongue and the bug is no more. Once fed the pyrid tend to go for a small stroll before starting the whole process again.
