While security guards may seem bored and uninterested in their surroundings, they are always alert and ready to act in case of a threat. A historic example of this is the case of Frank Wills, who, as a security guard at the Watergate office complex in 1972, discovered a break-in that ultimately led to the resignation of President Nixon.
