Under the surface

San Francisco’s Sunset District is an area that immediately caught my eye as a film photographer. The symmetrical buildings and distinct architectural lines really create the unique coastal neighborhood that this area is known for. Throughout my time there I realized that this area is a hot spot for classic vehicles and garage workshops. The repetitive similarity of the houses make the vehicles parked out front a visual representation of the people who live there. I see so much pride taken in the maintenance and care for these classics and on rare occasions you can catch someone taking out their passion project out for a weekend cruise.
