Vince Fraser is an artist on a mission to inspire and empower positive, powerful imagery of the African diaspora. His work explores the historical, social, and cultural aspects of his identity, as well as notions of power and belonging. 

For the SEED the Blockchain exhibition, Fraser created a new series of digital artworks entitled ~AFR±0*$e£D!!~. Three artworks in the ~AFR±0*$e£D!!~ collection are inspired by the notion of an “AI generated nation untouched by Western civilization, filled with superior Meta technology enabling them to grow and flourish in abundance.” Another amazing artwork in the series~AFR±0*$e£D!!~ Metalani is limited to 20 editions, each of which comes with an Infinite Object.

The entire series will be on display in SEED’s art experiential space the Oasis, where Fraser is also projection mapping his artwork onto the wall and floors, creating a unique and immersive experience.

The “Metalani Princess“ is inspired by the Fulani people which is one of the largest ethnic groups in West Africa. They are widely dispersed across the region inhabiting many countries including Northern parts of Central Africa, SouthSudan, Darfur, Eritrea, and regions near the Red Seacoast. The women are known for their beauty and long hair which is usually wrapped whenever they are getting married.
