Cannibal is an exploration of how major record labels, and their subsidiaries, act like vampires. The same way vampires suck the blood of people, record labels suck the creativity and profit out of artists. And on a darker note, record labels can even bring artists back from the dead, so to speak, using posthumous albums which have become extremely common and increasingly controversial over the past few decades. Ultimately, I'm not a fan of record labels or their practices. I think they're archaic and their monopoly on music IP is holding back the entire industry and also negatively affecting American culture, particularly black American culture.
