The Honu Collection #4: Honu on the Reef Artist: Jason O'Rourke May 2014 Edition: 1/1 NFT License: Extended Editorial A Hawaiian green sea turtle, or Honu, washes in the surf to a temporary perch on the reef, and feeds on the algae there as the next wave rushes in. The Honu Collection is curated from almost 20 years living in Hawaii. I photographed these Honu (Hawaiian green sea turtles) on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island. I volunteer with several non-profits focused on education, conservation, and outreach for Hawaii’s endangered wildlife, including Mālama i nā Honu, which works with these Honu.
