Euterpe

Euterpe is the muse of music and lyric poetry, She brings the importance of music to culture and human life. In ancient Greece, music was extremely appreciated, and therefore the name of this muse can be translated as “the giver of pleasure”. The instruments depicted alongside the Euterpe are usually the double flute and/or the lyre, which are ancient Greek instruments. Euterpe is said to have invented wind instruments so that mankind could appreciate music.
