Above the Clouds

Cascade Dreamscape From a magical sunrise in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Washington in July 2022. Rolling out of my tent well before sunrise, I wasn't expecting to see the magical conditions that were presenting themselves before me. Pastel pink skies hanging high above the mountains, a rolling river of clouds beneath the beautiful summit of Mount Daniel, and a sense of calmness filled the landscape as if everything was in awe at the scene before me. This inversion lasted well into the afternoon which blew my mind as I sat on a boulder and watched as the sea of clouds swirled and danced over the mountainous Washington landscape.
