The Lonely Mountain

Cascade Dreamscape From atop my namesake peak, Mount Daniel, during August of 2022. Standing atop the highest peak in the surrounding area, your vantage above the landscape is mind blowing to put it simply. I could see hundreds of miles in every direction where the highest peaks stood out like a tree in the middle of a barren desert. Standing higher than the rest in its location, Mount Stuart is truly a monolithic mountain that commands your attention. Although most of the attention in the North Cascades is put on the glacially covered volcanoes, Mount Stuart is one of the highest and mightiest mountains in the North Cascades.
