El Dorado Haze

Cascade Dreamscape Arguably one of the most well known peaks of the North Cascades, El Dorado looms through the smoke and haze as I gaze upon its icy slopes from the summit of Vesper Peak. Albeit, this scene is otherworldly and gorgeous, the wildfire smoke truly is such a hinderance for the overall health of these landscapes. It creates a beautiful atmosphere, but in turn destroys the life sustaining forests that thrive beneath these glacially covered giants. As climate change continues to ravage these fragile landscapes, I hope to document and experience their beauty whilst they last.
