Visionary

This work is inspired by "The Looking Glass" by Brea'n Thompson and was created by setting multiple layers of makeup of top of each other. Different forms, textures, shapes and pigments were combined to create an out-of-this-world alien design on the face. Face Cards is a collection of 24 hand painted makeup art self portraits by Laurel Charleston, released as collectible editions on the ethereum blockchain. The 200 editions live on a custom ERC-1155 smart contract owned and operated by Laurel. The makeup looks in this collection continue to redefined the beauty industry, pushing the limits of what makeup can achieve.
