Contrast in Motion

This work is an original design and was the most difficult makeup in this collection to execute. Sharp panels of black and white section the face into ten parts while spheres float freely between them. Each time one of these spheres interacts with a new panel it inverses the color creating a fantastical illusion. Face Cards is a collection of 24 hand painted makeup art self portraits by Laurel Charleston, released as collectible editions on the ethereum blockchain. The 200 editions live on a custom ERC-1155 smart contract owned and operated by Laurel. The makeup looks in this collection continue to redefined the beauty industry, pushing the limits of what makeup can achieve.
