I was asked by Tush Magazine to create a makeup work inspired by the global shortage of the vanilla bean and how there is now a war on the vanilla bean in Madagascar. This was one of my most challenging creative briefs to date. Photographed by Fernando Rodriguez.
Face Cards is a collection of 24 hand painted makeup art self portraits by Laurel Charleston, released as collectible editions on the ethereum blockchain.
The 200 editions live on a custom ERC-1155 smart contract owned and operated by Laurel.
The makeup looks in this collection continue to redefined the beauty industry, pushing the limits of what makeup can achieve.
