The Lighthouse

Losing someone we love is never easy, It leaves a hole in our hearts that's oh so hard to fill. We try to move on, but the pain lingers, A constant reminder of the love we once knew. We hold on to the memories, Of all the times we laughed and smiled. We try to find comfort in the thought, That they are now free of pain and suffering. But as the days turn into weeks, And the weeks turn into months, The pain begins to fade, But the love remains strong.
