Shade of Blue

While on set for a fashion editorial, my team found ourselves in an extremely rare situation, we were ahead of schedule. Given the fact that we had time to experiment, I wanted to test out this method of introducing a colored gel on the side of my lens to create a harsh gradient. We were using strobe lighting at the time and I wasn't getting the results I wanted so I decided to open up the blackout blinds and fill the room with natural light. This ended making a seamless blend with my backdrop and colored gradient and I was extremely happy with how everything turned out.
