This moment was truly a miracle. While on a test shoot with my friend Uloaka, we were beginning to lose light to the tall skyscrapers that pervade downtown San Francisco. We scrambled to find any beam of the days last light, the opportunities becoming more slim with each passing minute.
As we began to call it a day and walk back towards the bus stop, the perfect scene had presented itself to us. The smallest and most concentrated beam of light had found its way through a windy alley and onto the backdrop of a shutdown Chinese restaurant. I didn't have any time to think of a pose so I told Uloaka to stand as calm as she could, take a deep breathe, and exhale. SNAP! The moment was created.
