The middle of five siblings living in a crammed apartment, quiet boy Jean would escape to Brooklyn Bridge to gaze at the city views. At night he’d see himself to sleep picturing the recent mood of the city and holding onto the vision of the skyline. Fascinated to discover more, Jean began traveling across cities, supporting himself with menial jobs. Unable to afford a camera and with a deep desire to capture the emotions he’d take in from the views, Jean started to sketch and paint.
