Festa Junina (June Party)

Edition 1/1. This photograph is the first of the “BRASIL” series, in which I show a little, through visual elements, the beauty, colors, shapes, ethnicities and diversity of Brazilian culture. The photograph “FESTA JUNINA” was taken by Luz e Sombra (artistic entity of Nino Arteiro in photography). The June party is one of the biggest popular parties in Brazil and takes place throughout the month of June. Of pagan origin, the June party was influenced by Catholicism and was introduced in Brazil by the Portuguese in the colonial period.
