On a quiet stretch of coast in Southern Oregon, a place that feels like time has forgotten, lies some of the most beautiful sea stacks in the world. Between pummeling winter storms when the thick gray clouds eventually clear, the majesty of this area is finally revealed. Often times, you're left waiting weeks for good weather.
For a short time during the year the sun rises at the right angle to shine through the sea arch, adding depth and dimension that is normally hard to find otherwise. I've photographed this place more than a dozen times throughout the years and to this day, the majesty and beauty of this particular morning has been unmatched.
