Saint Paul the Hermit - Saint Paul spent many decades alone in the Egyptian desert, where he dedicated himself to prayer. According to Christian lore, he survived on a small bread ration delivered each day by a raven.
Just before Paul's death, the raven delivered a double ration, signalling the arrival of Saint Anthony. Anthony visited with Paul for one day and buried him after he died.
