At 8.15 am on the 6th of August 1945, Enola Gay detonated ‘Little Boy’, the first atomic bomb used in warfare, over Hiroshima. The atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki (three days later) destroyed the biological and man-made landscape and killed over 200,000 people. The Atomic Bomb Dome was one of the few surviving buildings in Hiroshima.This series comes from Philip Clemo & Shout at Cancer’s charity project From Silence Into Song.
