Droplet One is one of eight works released by Philip Clemo as part of Frame Two, the artist's second collection of audio-visual works using digital technologies to record natural phenomena and environments. The Frame series was produced in diverse contexts and locations, often in close proximity to powerful forces, and offers insights into Clemo’s creative processes and techniques. Clemo considers how particular environments, forces and natural phenomena are recorded, framed and processed, and questions the nature of abstraction versus realism, juxtaposing macro with micro, magnification against distance.
