FALÒ DELLE VANITÀ: C4RDINAL

The piece was inspired by friar Girolamo Savonarola and his 'bonfire of the vanities' ("FALÒ DELLE VANITÀ") on Feb 7th, 1497. GS and his followers forced the burning of thousands of objects they said tempted sin - including plenty of art. He was excommunicated by the pope a few months later, and hung/burned to death in May 1498.
