Arokai Blue

There are any number of tarns in Aoraki Mt Cook. It had been snowing heavily for days so it was with a smile that I woke up to a picture perfect day. Snow and sun can be really tricky to photograph. The white can be incredibly harsh and capturing any form of sunstar can be a hit and miss affair. A fine line between exposing for long enough to smooth out the water while still capturing the sun star. Thankfully there was no wind and I was very happy with the reflection for just 1/40th second.
