Nut Cracker

Nut Cracker Meet 38 year old Mani. Moved to the city from South India , he is the coconut vendor . A big crate of fresh coconuts and a “kukuri” ( knife ) as his tool. A number of customers surrounded his stall. For the next hour , all I saw was his tough hands , the knife and coconuts being cut open at the speed of lightning. It’s a beautiful process to watch & did not look easy at all. There are a number of steps involved from shredding, breaking open and scooping the coconut flesh out .
