Homewards

I often have a hard time with night photography, mainly because I like the sunlight so much and play with the strong contrasts to create my clean compositions. But I truly love this piece. It is actually one of my all-time favorite shots. And It conveys everything the series stands for: Man seeks his way through oversized architecture, the melancholy feeling of being alone, and a minimalist composition to tell these stories. And it is a very emotional piece too. He leaves the warm and protected space to step out into the darkness and find his way home.
