Exhibitionists

In a parallel universe where the inanimate comes alive, the “exhibitionists” - the petrified trees, which are dramatically ensconced at the crater’s rim are akin to beings performing a rhythmic ritual dance for their gods. The turquoise coloured sulphur lake at the heart of Ijen crater, the largest acidic lake in the world, provides an otherworldly backdrop against which the exhibitionists declare allegiance to their maker.
