Persephone

Goddess of the Underworld. She was so beautiful that Hades lusted after her and made her his wife. Every night she rose into the sky and became the constellation Virgo. At the request of Zeus, Hades released Persephone and gave her some pomegranate seeds to sow the barren land. Since then, Persephone spends half a year on Olympus, half a year in the Underworld.
