The first seed of inspiration for this illustration was an abandoned house plant someone set outside and forgot. The plant THRIVED - spilling over the edge of the pot to find new ground, taking over the wall to get more light, and adapting to grow.

This illustration explores that journey in the far future where a plant must survive in the most uninhabitable of places.
