"square network" by Michael Lowe || This piece started out as a doodle on a post-it note, but I had just as much fun exploring the system with code. Each step of the generation involves finding a corner where a square can be placed without intersecting another. Following these basic rules creates some really interesting patterns, and the number of variables that can be adjusted means that a huge range of images can be produced. Generation adapts to the size of the window, so the pattern may appear slightly different on different screen sizes.
