'The Chariot' is the 7th Major Arcana trump within the Tarot card decks. The card element of this animation was originally a hand-drawn artwork, produced upon an ultra black carbon nanotube coated sheet of aluminium. The resulting animation is a parody of the modern Gallery space; a satire about the mystification and packaging of Art for the purpose of commodification. About the artist Robert McNally is an artist known for his cram-a-universe-into-an-atom pencil drawings. His constructions evoke a unique form of anachronistic/abstracted storytelling that feeds on the paradox, the surreal, and the subconscious.
