It would probably amuse some of you to know that when I took this photo (and a few others you've probably seen), I was experiencing immense joy and relief! We knew this hike was a long one, and we were planning to camp out overnight. We'd packed everything we could think of (our backs and knees did not appreciate this unkindness), and I was responsible for a lot of it, including a water filter.
