Fresh Air

Inspired by my hometown, Fresh Air depicts a serene and windswept coastal scene, captured through the medium of oil pastels and collage in a soft, neutral colour palette. The composition is built around a figure standing on a sandy beach, their back turned to the wind/viewer as they gaze out towards the sea. The range of neutral and grey tones create a sense of tranquillity and calm, with subtle variations in colour and texture adding depth and dimension to the scene. The sky above is a blend of soft greys, with streaks of white suggesting the movement of the wind.
