Clocking Out

Clocking Out is a mixed media creation, using oil pastels, collage techniques & digital software. The colours used are neutral, drawing the viewer's attention to the white hooded figure leaving the factory at the end of the working day. The background of the piece is composed of dark/dull drawings, with layers of paper and other materials creating a sense of depth and texture. The sign is utilizing text for the first time in any piece, expressing the direction the hooded figure is moving towards where the colours and textures suggest the many moods of the workplace, from cold and lonely to fast and unpredictable.
