“Faunette” establishes a symbiotic relationship with the sun that enlightens the virtual set up. As a sort of sundial, the figure rotates on the pedestal as the time keeps flowing. By doing this, the head engraves the surface on which it lays while the clouded background reinforces the mysterious and metaphysical setting .The face is a repeated motif in the artist’s sculptures, as is the use of the fossil shell which makes up this creature’s head.
