Total Solar eclipses are one of the most rare and intense natural experiences humans can ever have. For a brief instant the Moon covers up the Sun, revealing the faint and subtle details of the Solar atmosphere while daytime gives way to an eerie, fleeting night.
This image, taken during the Total Solar Eclipse of December 14th, 2020 in the Argentine Patagonia, is a composition of the Solar Chromosphere, the lowest portion of the solar atmosphere, revealed only during the brief moments of totality.
