35 mm black & white film photograph Shot in the basement of my childhood home in Louisville, KY 2015 16’’x 20’’ This photo is a B-Shot, meaning it was taken in the dark with an open shutter, using a flashlight to draw and illuminate parts of the image. The piece features my mother, Laura Devlin, and something about the light has always made this one of my favorite photos from this era.
