Though it may appear insignificant, the story of Frida Kahlo consuming SPAM with her then-husband Diego is a sentiment both deeply philosophical and relevant to the modern movement of Crypto Spam Artists. By eating what was arguably considered a commoner’s meal in large quantities, Frida and Diego were able to demonstrate their commitment to the creative process of reworking and rethinking words, tools, and items, ultimately teaching us to never be too quick to discard the seemingly insignificant.
