Mirza Salim, Lamu, 2020
Mirza’s hat is inspired by the Kenyan Makuti thatch roof h ouse, and is made from natural fibres; coconut leaves, husks, and palm reeds, interwoven with re-purposed plastic string. The coconut shell crown reads “Keep Shela Clean”.
