Positive Externalities

As we go about our daily lives, it's easy to see the positive effects of our actions on a regular basis. Work hard, and you'll get a raise. Be a good person, and you'll find your one true love. Life is good, right? In the same vein, it's easy to see how there are moments when our choices might ripple outward into the universe to and cause unintended consequences. That raise you got?
