There are some views that need to be experienced to be believed. Five years ago, I solo hiked Sgùrr na Strì (which is Scots Gaelic for "Peak of Strife"... a fitting name) on a dreary Fall day. All told, I was out in there in the wilds of the Isle of Skye for thirteen hours, passing barely a dozen people the entire day. It was perfect, and no photos I took can explain what it was like, though this one comes close.
