It's no secret that my favorite moments as a photographer are the ones I spend under a canopy of stars... Recently, I was able to get out for an evening of shooting at Cape Kiwanda on the Oregon coast.
It was a new moon and the skies were dark, so I hiked up the sand dunes to photograph Haystack Rock under the soon-to-be dazzling Milky Way. I was exhausted by the time I got up there, but I was eager to finally see the galactic core in all its glory above the iconic rock!
