Meeting Mephistopheles

You can’t make a deal with the devil with your fingers crossed behind your back. The idea for this piece is the idea of the Faustian bargain, that the kind of deal that compromises your core values will extract a toll from your spirit. Sometimes we can try to be so clever that we can actually fool ourselves, we can convince ourselves that the thing we are doing against our values will not hurt us, but the pain of this will manifest further down the road.
