First Taste of Speed. Indian Chief, 1920's

This is my Grandfather in his mid-teens buying his first motorcycle in Auburn, WA. Shortly after buying this he joined the Washington State Air National Guard. While there he completed his college education, became an officer and was an accomplished barnstormer before eventually entering the war as a volunteer pilot for the Chinese Army. Known as a Flying Tiger. He flew over the Himalaya's delivering supplies from China to India and bringing our heroes who didn't make it - home. More pictures to come from his time in the Army Air Corps before and during the war. While he left us in the 90's, this is our families most treasured photo of him.
