The time has come,' the Walrus said, To talk of many things: Of shoes — and ships — and sealing-wax — Of cabbages — and kings — And why the sea is boiling hot — And whether pigs have wings.’ From Lewis Carroll's "The Walrus and the Carpenter" Oceans are the cradle of life and we are polluting them, choking them with plastics, and catastrophically warming them with human induced climate change. We are over- fishing and destroying the habitat of the noble creatures that inhabit them. In this clever and ironic poem Carroll uses animals to allude to human deception and trickery.
